YouGroove Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Would be great when making a new terrain and choosing textures to paint, to be able to choose directly Jpeg , tga. Direct import and direct paint, the texture would be stored in some folder like "Materials/imported". Instead of having to copy your textures to a new directory in the project, than choose them again in terrain texture layers .... It could be a good workflow improvment. ----------------------- Another problem , is that choosing a texture in layer, in the selection window , you see only . tex file , so you can't see original Jpeg and tga textures W should be able to choose ony .tex, but be able to visualize texture thumbnail of jpeg , this would help a lot work flow instead of choosing textures based on their names. Just to show how a pain is the workflow if your project is massive terrain use and you need to view textures you choose : You must have two windows and each time switch back the explorer windows in back to front of LE3 app. This is something lacking in LE3 editor to not be able to preview textures you choose compared to other 3D terrain editors even non gaming ones .
