On the scene tab , take some static model

 

Check : Nav obstacle = "True"

 

Click elsewhere to select another object

 

Select back the first object and you have : Nav Obstacle = "different" ?

When you have a hierarchy of objects selected, some settings like this only get assigned to the top-level entity. This is because some settings could cause horrible slowdown if they were assign to an entire hierarchy. For example, entity mass is one of these where you only want the top-level entity to have mass.

 

So it;s intended behavior.
