panz3r Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 As 3.1 is imminent we can start thinking at feature list we would want for 3.2. My top wish would be an easy to use integrated GUI. Edit: i added option for intrgration in 3.1
nate066 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 As 3.1 is imminent we can start thinking at feature list we would want for 3.2. My top wish would be an easy to use integrated GUI. Yes i think a intergrated gui maker would be very helpful
kennar Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 How about integrated GUI before 3.2 comes out...during that year of development. 1
cassius Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Yeah. If paid for updates are annual you wouln;t want to wait a year for something so vital. But maybe a third party plugin??? amd quad core 4 ghz / geforce 660 ti 2gb / win 10 Blender,gimp,silo2,ac3d,,audacity,Hexagon / using c++

ZioRed Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Ofc that statement is subject to interpretation, I personally take it to mean that the gui designer will almost certainly come during 3.1's lifetime This would be the only reason for me to upgrade to 3.1, since I don't care neither OGL4 nor Linux support (decals implementation is another big stuff required, using a plane is simply awful) ?? Rick Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 For me water is something that's out of my reach, but Networking and GUI I have 3rd party options. 4
Guppy Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I'm currious, water as in oceans or fluid simulation? System: Linux Mint 17 ( = Ubuntu 14.04 with cinnamon desktop ) Ubuntu 14.04, AMD HD 6850, i5 2500k
dennis Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I'm currious, water as in oceans or fluid simulation? I would say just normal fluid simulations. as in leadwerks 2. because from there you can modify it to oceans 1
DudeAwesome Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 networking is toooooo big. raknet is a good solution. dont reinvent the wheel 2 It doesn´t work... why? mhmmm It works... why?
YouGroove Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 water , racknet ... lol What is going on here ? It was about GUI and 3.2 (open new threads if needed to talk about other features ) Stop toying and make games
panz3r Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 OFF topic: water was solved with some plane and a shader(as far as i recall) and for networking simply native OS api. Beside, this this thread is about GUI. BTW if you are aware of some 3rd party GUI that can use Leadwerks as renderer that would be good as well.
YouGroove Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 @Panzr3 : There has been already posted open source GUI solutions that could work with LE3 OpenGL (use search on forum) LE3 Priority is elsewhere (Linux, Full screen effects ... ) , so for GUI we'll have to wait and see what happens. Stop toying and make games
panz3r Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 @yougroove Could work is like could fly. I am aware about one which have integration in progress(was posted in another forum section) but that's about it.
Guppy Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Maybe it's time to close this poll, gets anoying having it pop on top with every vote System: Linux Mint 17 ( = Ubuntu 14.04 with cinnamon desktop ) Ubuntu 14.04, AMD HD 6850, i5 2500k
