MetalOS Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Has anyone ever used this software in Ultra? https://www.evolved-software.com/treeit/treeit I can't seem to get many object settings in Ultra to manage transparency. I'm not at home and I'll post a screenshot when I get back to show you. Quote
MetalOS Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 Here's what happens when I import a tree generated by Treeit software. I don't know how to manage leaf transparency in Leadwerks 5. Maybe I'm importing my 3D file into Leadwerks incorrectly. In any case, I can't find an option to modify the tree's texture. Quote
MetalOS Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 Here is the tree file if you want to test it. Arbre.zip Quote
MetalOS Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 I managed to find the option for transparency. However, when I move the camera, the leaves of the tree move in all directions and now I don't know which option to check or uncheck. Quote

Solution MetalOS Posted April 6 Author Solution Posted April 6 I found the problem, I was converting my objects to gltf incorrectly, now it's fine. Josh, if you're passing by, I'd like to share a free palm tree pack to put in the new download category. Is that possible? 1 Quote

You can also improve the leaf appearance by lowering the alpha cutoff value in the material blend properties. That will make them look less sparse. The backface lighting option also looks awesome with leaf planes. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
MetalOS Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 I can't share in the download section, it says there's an error every time. Do I have to create a zip file? Quote

The models have to be in a zip file, but there is currently a bug in the system that does not allow images to be uploaded in the files. I filed a support ticket with Invision Power Services Friday afternoon about this. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
MetalOS Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 However, if I place the palm tree by dragging and dropping the transparency of the leaves, it's fine, but if I go through the Terrain editor to create a vegetation layer, the transparency of the leaves no longer works. We can clearly see the difference in this capture. Quote
Josh Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Upload the model with all textures and materials, please. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Josh Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Also, you should use alpha discard / mask, not transparency. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
MetalOS Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 Indeed, using alpha discard / mask works better. Thank you very much for this clarification. 1 Quote
