Inconsistant focus-behaviour when switching elements

When you edit a value like the range of a layer-variation and switch to another variation without leaving the previously edited control the new value is passed to the new variation. The same happens for a lot of other editable fields like colors, etc in the default scene tree.

This has been my complaint with TAGS since about 8 months ago.  I feel it's the same bug.
