sigmadudefortnite Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 If this engine supported mobile or console (ps5, xbox, android, ios) it would be very good and would definitely be eyed on by people looking to make an actual popular game 1 Quote
Josh Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Ultra Engine is currently focused on the PC platform. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.

Josh Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I do not know the future, so I don't try to predict it. It just depends on what people need most. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.

The chance is little people will ask for it, but in honesty right now everyone is mostly messing around with the engine, if someone is looking to make an actual game to make real income and have a real player base, they will want mobile and console If you do decide to do this eventually, opengl wont cut it because it isnt supported on many devices, multiple rendering apis will be needed Quote

So it's probably good to stay focused on adding more features to the platforms we currently support, for now. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.

Yes, the engine is lacking a lot of features, but i've said that if you eventually decide to do this, not to do it right now 1 Quote
