before you click to find the source of the image, ask yourself... is this real, or is it Leadwerks...

Well I know what my first thought was, but the image URL has proved that once again, I'm wrong.

... i think that photo textures can do a lot, that iam a little jelly about the lightflares, that nature sux anyway and that character's (animation, cloth and skin shading) are lacking behind to 99%.

Leadwerks

I think it's real, never seen such grass in Leadwerks. Everything else can be done easily with Leadwerks, but such high density and detailled grass would require more work than the rest. It's still doable, but I doubt someone would spend the time on that detail.

But I could be wrong, if you have tools that do the job for you, like Vue, and import the generated scene.

It all looks very real apart from the bench.

 

I think detailed grass could be done with a shader just like you can do fur with a fur shader.
