Josh Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 Can Blender export textures as DDS into a glTF file? I am writing up some documentation and I want to establish the modeling pipeline for people. If it can't, then the only way to get your model's textures into DDS is to select that option in the Ultra Engine asset window and resave the model. https://github.com/UltraEngine/Documentation/blob/master/modeling.md Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
SpiderPig Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 I tried this some time ago. I only ever got png to export in the gltf file. Even if I imported the textures as dds. What I ended up doing was as you say, using the asset editor. 1 Quote
Josh Posted October 20, 2023 Author Posted October 20, 2023 It would be a lot better if DDS encoding could be added to the Blender exporter. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
