Duplicated Model Layers

The editor seems to be duplicating layers that have previously been deleted from models. I'm currently experimenting with sky domes and the models I have have four separate layers. I've deleted the un-needed layers in the editor. On restarting the editor and loading the map the deleted layers have duplicated themselves.

I don't understand your terminology here. Are you deleting limbs of a model that is placed in the editor? Can I see the model and an example map?

I see. When a map is loaded, models are always reloaded from their original files, so any missing limbs would get recreated at that time.

The real bug here is that the editor is not supposed to let you delete limbs from a model.

It would be okay to hide those limbs in the map editor, but not to delete them. I need to make sure this is prevented...

Hi Josh that's what I thought was happening - I use hide well in Leadwerks and it has the desired effect. On another note the hide in Ultra doesn't seem to work in this scenario although I wonder if that is because the model has duplicated the limbs too many times to know which to hide and which not?

Oh wow. Without worrying about deletion or hiding, this is just what happens when you save the model in a map. The original model just has four limbs.
