Can someone give me some tips, advices how to improve the ui, if something is wrong?

I would use a constant width for the label in all the rows in the side panel. It will make the whole UI look cleaner.

Yeah i was thinking about that, also when i click on the search button and search for a file it pastes its path in the textfield, but i can only see that when i click on the textfield, how can i fix that?

I think this will be better (edited in paint.net)

Widget::SetText() should be immediate. If not, you can call Widget::Paint() to force a redraw.
