Can i use UAK with vs 2022?

i just downloaded the ,,wrong" version of visual studio, just making sure that nothing wrong is going to happen if i use the 2022 version

Seems 2022 was released 8 november.

It should work but better just test, microsoft usually take great care of backward compatibility.

I heard in a discord server that the new compiler should be backwards compatible. You should be able to download the 2019 compiler without the full IDE.

UAK works with no problems with visual studio 2022, just tested.

Also working on windows 11.

Are you using the latrst build tools?

I would upgrade myself but I still need the 2017 tools for Leadwerks.

Yeah latest tools , version 143.

Guess you can keep 2017 to be sure will work on older windows also.

 

I just created a new blank project from leadwerks (windows11) , open it with visual studio 2022 to upgrade the project.

It works , only thing needed is to switch for x86 release of course.

FYI, CMake does not work with VS 2022 yet.
