What version of visual c++express should I get for use with Leadwerks 3?, or will codeblocks be ok?

amd quad core 4 ghz / geforce 660 ti 2gb / win 10

Blender,gimp,silo2,ac3d,,audacity,Hexagon / using c++

The initial release supports only VS2010, but I will try to get it to work with VS2012 and then later on with CodeBlocks+MinGW64.

You can use any cpp-compiler and IDE you want.

Visual Studio 2010 (Express is fine) is required for Leadwerks 3 development for Windows.
