Video as Textures

Just wondering how one would go about adding Video (perhaps via ffmpeg or libvlc) to a texture, has anyone done this yet?

Yeah, there was even a thingoid for Editor which did that.

I think there was something which could play Theora on a texture by Niosop. Can't remember now, and searching for the word Theora gets no results.

Thanks everyone for their help! The problem is I like to play most video files not just the ones compressed with theora as I am interested in doing a Video playback application of some sort. Can this be possible with ffmpeg?
