Water Reflections Bug ?

this doesn't look right... the reflections of the sub deck past the waves...

Is the camera that is rendering the scene parented in anyway to another object?

Parenting has caused several water related issues for me in the past.

 

I've solved this by updating the object that I wish to mimic rotation and positioning, then set Camera.Matrix = Object.Matrix with each render loop.

nope... the camera is not a child or a parent of any other object...

the same code runs, and looks, fine in 3.1, 2.26...

 

i'll give your workaround a shot...

it seems the reflection anomoly is induced when high water amplitude settings (SetWaterAmplitude(62):D are requested... when i reduced the water amplitude down to 2 the reflection anomoly dissapeared...

 

now i dunno if this is a bug or not, but the workaround (??) is easy enough not to warrant wasting time over it...

 

but still :D
