AggrorJorn Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Is it possible to send out free keys for paid workshop items? I would like to give away a paid item to severall people, but I can't find an option for it. Quote

Phodex Games Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Ok this may be a little stupid answer, but why not just send them a zip file with your files, included in the workshop file? Quote

Because of the administrative overhead this creates. I have to manually email all those persons with every update. It might be 1 person and zip file. But once there are more zip files and different people, thinks get messy. You would have to keep track of who you have mailed, somewhere in a file. It is not that this is a complex task, but these 'small' administrative tasks take valuable time. Time I would rather spend on development. Quote
Phodex Games Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Yeah I know, thats why I said its a stupid answer ^^, especially because you knew that already didn't you :P. But don't you have a website maybe? You can make a password saved area there where you upload the newester version or something like that? I gues thats a more smart solution. Quote
AggrorJorn Posted September 6, 2017 Author Posted September 6, 2017 I am looking again at my own webshop or services that allow easily selling and updating digital content (Amazon etc.) Quote
Thirsty Panther Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 He has one. http://www.aggror.com/ but it was hijacked at one point. Quote
AggrorJorn Posted September 6, 2017 Author Posted September 6, 2017 yeah that was www.aggrortutorials.com. But that one only supported paypal. If I would use my own shop again, I would pay for a better ecommerce system that has more payment options and has better security. 1 Quote
Josh Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 I don't expect Valve will add this since it is a way to go around the Steam store, and it probably just isn't a priority for them. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
