Hello,

it may be useful if you could import .obj files. They are able to save textures as well as the object so you dont have to import texture and object on its own.

We don't do this because Visual Studio generates a bunch of files with the OBJ extension as part of the build process. And FBX is the standard anyways, so there isn't a great need for other formats.

My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.

For C++ programmes it would be good to have some other import and export files.

 

Why not use the assimp imort library, the some import and export files could be used.

so there isn't a great need for other formats.

I think a lot of users would be happy if they are able to import a complete object from Blender or Cinema4D into leadwerks...
