I did a forums search and the only Daz topic was from 4 years.

I downloaded Daz Studio 4.9 Pro for free and it looks real promising.

Only played around with it for about two hours but exported a character into Leadwerks fine.

Anyone using Daz Studio 4.9 Pro? It seems easier than Blender. Blender gives me a headache trying to do anything in it.

I'm trying to figure out what program to really get into and learn without spending 100's of dollars.

The problem in the past with using DAZ models for games was due to the ridiculous amounts of polygons used for characters (+500K was not unusual). I do not know if that has changed in recent years as it appears they have introduced a decimator to help reduce polys... Curious to see if its useable now.

I think the idea is you get the basic software free but then have to pay for addons that make it more usefull.

Yeah, but I think it's just a $500 license for indie studios or something.

That's too bad because I really like the program.

I read IClone 6 license agreement and there you "own" the work you do.
