Sakru Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Hello i wonder if Josh could add keyboard shortcuts like in UE4? It will be much easier to place/scale/rotate objects in the scene. I would be thanks full if you can add this, because it take me so much time to place objects right. 2 Quote
mdgunn Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Move rotate and scale are already on 1/2/3, at least on windows. W and E are already used in moving the camera in the viewport and it seems fairly sensibe having W/A/S/D/Q/E. Did you mean something else because 1/2/3 seem not too bad? Me I'd like to see pick object/pick face keys because AFAIK these aren't assigned shortcuts and at times I've found myself switching these lots to access the material adjustment panel. 1 Quote
reepblue Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 As I said before, I'm waiting for the editor to be filled with very useful shortcuts. I forgot what shortcut I wanted the most, all well. No shortcuts for scale/rotation/moving in Linux version. Quote

Josh Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 It's not in there because GTK shortcuts interfere with text input. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Sakru Posted March 4, 2016 Author Posted March 4, 2016 It's not in there because GTK shortcuts interfere with text input. Reported this in October 2015. Will you fix it? Quote
Josh Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 This will not be changed. It is a result of the design of GTK. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Sakru Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 This will not be changed. It is a result of the design of GTK. I understand that, but, maybe it is a good idea to move from GTK? For example to QT? Quote
