gamecreator Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Do we have a working glow shader at the moment? I didn't see anything on the workshop. I'm just trying to make items like gems and coins glow. It looks like there was one before but the link doesn't work any more: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/files/file/473-glowmapshaders-leadwerks31/ (Found in this thread.) Thanks. Quote
CreativeOcclusion Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 You can change material from solid to light in material editor, until we have decent shader...I have been looking for a glow shader too, so if you find anything please let me know... Quote
shadmar Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 It's stocked with LE : diffuse+normal+specular+emission.shader 1 3 Quote HP Omen - 16GB - i7 - Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
gamecreator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Thanks. The shader turned my gems invisible since I don't know what texture to use for the emission shader and which slot to put it in (there is no emission slot that I saw). Maybe one day we'll get documentation for this. Quote
Josh Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 This Workshop item includes an example: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/viewitem?fileid=265492265 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
macklebee Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Thanks. Maybe one day we'll get documentation for this. As shown in Josh's pic, the emission texture channel is texture4. If you also opened the shader in the Shader Editor it shows this as well. And that texture slot is not necessarily assigned for emission in all shaders - just in this case. It's confusing, and new comers should not have to read a shader to know what textures to use in what channel, i hope LE3 will improve the material editor some day on that point I was making a shader and i got to find this post to know how to use the shader, there was no doc anything showing what slots to use for shaders. Thirsty Panther Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Yes it would be nice to have documentation/ tutorial on shaders. They are important to give your game a bit of pizzazz. Quote
