Hi Shadmar,

 

Just thought I'd post about the ssdo shader and thanks for doing it btw. Mostly the shader is working however I'm getting this weird glow effect around some objects, but not all. The character gets it mainly. I removed all other shaders from the scene and only the ssdo one is left in the screenshot.

 

Here is what I'm seeing any ideas about what's going on?

It was updated yesterday it should be 2x fast, I think also the glow effect was fixed aswell.

Are you using the latest one?

 

Also in what order are your effects applied (if using serveral)

I think I was using the latest, but I cant be sure It was downloaded via steam and I did do an update when ssdo was released. I think ssdo it was the last one added in the stack, but I did try adjusting the order. The screenshot I did only had ssdo applied also.

What happens if you add fxaa?

Doesn't appear to make any difference to the weirdness, obviously model edges look nice and sharp.

This halo is a pretty common artifact for SSAO.

 

maybe try this what I have found for a quick search:

I have no halo now ( I had, but I got rid of it ), and running the latest ws version, so I dont know, suggest you uninstall the shaderpack, restart LE and re-install it.

If i understand it correctly the halo depends on the contrast.

 

Maybe the lightning in the scene is not the best. I don't know.

 

But i have seen these halos in some AAA games too sometimes.

With the old version, I could get rid of the halo by placing the SSDO shader after the bloom+godrays shader, so if you are using that version, you could try this.
