Olby Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I don't recall if this has been requested before, so here it goes: Scene tab needs further enhancements to allow for efficient work on larger levels. I suggest adding HIDE and LOCK options. These are pretty self explanatory if you have used Photoshop or GIMP layers before. HIDE will hide the object from the viewports and LOCK will prevent the object from being altered in the viewports (in both cases objects are selectable in the scene tab and their parameters can be adjusted). As quick visualisation: If this is not possible then the easiest would be to add a right-click menu with LOCK and HIDE tick boxes. It should also work with multiple selected objects. Locking or hiding a parent should recursively do the same for its child objects. 9 Quote Intel Core i7 Quad 2.3 Ghz, 8GB RAM, GeForce GT 630M 2GB, Windows 10 (x64)
SlipperyBrick Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I was talking to Dan22 about this the other day haha. Yes something like this would be amazing. Especially when you have loads of objects attached to a pivot and stuff. 1 Quote

tjheldna Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Would be very handy. The visibility control should be for the editor only I think. Quote
Evil Resident Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Indeed, this would help alot especially when alot of assets are in one place. Quote
xtom Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 +1 and maybe an option to also hide/lock from right click context menu when editing in viewports 1 Quote Check out my games: One More Day / Halloween Pumpkin Run
YouGroove Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 +1 Making lot of collision volumes and triggers for AI and other things in a level, this becomes quickly a pain to work on the level. Quote Stop toying and make games
