josk Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 The shadows dont seem to have a long range from a dirctional light whic is place in scene. From Post here which contains link to another relevent post. Quote Elite Cobra Squad
Josh Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 This is what happens on lower light quality settings. If you have an Intel chip, it defaults to the lowest setting. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
josk Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 I have a Nvidea GTX660TI, so I think thats still ok. I noticed shadows in the Editor have a longer viewing distance. Quote Elite Cobra Squad
shadmar Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I suspect editor setting isn't transferred when game is run. Try setting this in your app.lua self.world:SetLightQuality(2) 1 Quote HP Omen - 16GB - i7 - Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
Josh Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 At this time, they do not. It's surprising to me people would even expect that behavior, since typically an editor will run with lower quality settings than your game. josk Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 I suspect editor setting isn't transferred when game is run. Try setting this in your app.lua self.world:SetLightQuality(2) This worked perfect, thanks a lot. Is that in the Command Reference? Quote Elite Cobra Squad
gamecreator Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I can't find it in the documentation, searching either for SetLightQuality (no results) or just quality (1 legacy result). Seems like it should be here, but it isn't: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/documentation/_/command-reference/world/ Quote
macklebee Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 yes, tjheldna has pointed that out in this bug report that it is missing in the LE3 documentation: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/topic/10339-missing-in-documentation/ I'd suggest people add to that list whenever they can.
