MexSource Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Hey, Is it possible to export to Linux from Windows? I know that Mac OSX isn't even supported yet. And I think we would need to use something like MinGW right? I think the msvc compiler is only able to compile for Windows. And if we can't compile from Windows for Linux, is it possible to compile for Windows and Linux on Linux? Quote C++ :3
Josh Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 If you just put the Linux binary in the same folder, it will actually work. Cross-compiling is not something I deal with, but I think there are ways. MexSource Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 About which executables are we talking? Do I have them when I only downloaded LE on Steam for Windows? And are you sure I can execute them? (Linux executables on Windows?) Quote C++ :3
Josh Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 You do not have them with Leadwerks on Steam, but you will when Linux support is added. In fact, they will be automatically included in projects you create. So you could just zip those up and distribute it for Linux, and in most cases it will just work without any testing.
