In brief: If I am on Ultra Engine 0.98 and Radeon driver 24.8.1 then things are OK but moving either forwards (either to hot beta branch) or later Radeon (24.9 or 24.10.1) drivers leads to instant crash trying to do anything which would cause the viewport (or viewers) to render in 3D. In a bit more detail: This is probably something in my setup but I have it on 2 different machines. Both machines are AMD based GPU + CPU + Windows 11. One is Ryzen 3600X with Radeon 6600 other is Ryzen 5800X3D with Radeon 6800 XT. When on latest Radeon drivers the edtor will crash with no particular error at the point where I add something that must be rendered on the screen. By this I mean I can add icon types things such as cameras, lights, probes etc to either perspective or 2d viewport with no problem. I can also add brushes to 2D viewports but if I switch to 4 viewports then the editor crashes and I suspect it is because it has to render the brush in 3D not 2D. It is not limited to brushes though, I think adding terrain will do it and clicking on a model file in the asset browser to make it render a 3D version in the viewer will make it crash. Josh has already said he can run a Radeon 6600 (same as one of my cards) on latest hot branch of Ultra Engine and Radeon 24.10.1 so there is something about both of my machines that is causing the issue but I do not know how to gather more information on what the cause would be. Can anyone help? For example is there a crash log somewhere or are there any suggestions to turn anything off to rule things out and narrow down the cause?

Hi, it´s been a while since my last post here. I downloaded the .96 update, test the LUA side with no troubles. From Visual Studio, i tried to compile and run the start.ultra default map with no success. Copy/paste some samples same result, for instance, if I use the createBox sample, and comment the createBox line so nothing to render... the .exe executes and exit on ESC keypress. I did not test many samples, the loadTerrain sample work with no problem so, what may be happening? thanks in advance for any advice Juan

Is this an AMD thing still? I usually never show generated thumbs for models if it's even getting generated.. And also for MATS, when I create a new mat it shows as blank box. This has happened since the early beta's.. Was wondering if it was tied to the amd drivers as well. BTW, amd released new drivers this week.. No improvements with all the issues I've had using the engine.

https://imgur.com/a/RP4yL5r As seen in this video there is a problem when using this engine on AMD GPU's I have tested it on: AMD RX 580 - has graphical issue problems same as the video AMD Vega 3 - Crashes also graphics driver crashes AMD RX 6950 XT - same issue as the rx 580 (the video is from this gpu) this isnt the first time i have seen amd gpu's having issues with game engines. im more than happy to report when it is fully fixed.

I decided to install a fresh copy of windows and Radeon drivers to see if it would help the current situation. I haven't been able to get Ultra back up, I'm certain I'm missing something but haven't been able to figure it out yet. This is what I show when loading up Ultra after my clean installs.

I'm playing around with some of the example code, starting with Terrain. I've taken and run the exact sample code from the following page: https://www.ultraengine.com/learn/CreateTerrain?lang=cpp There appears to be some visual artifacting with the multiple textures. Removing the displacement map from the texture did not solve it. However it does not occur if I just apply a single texture. I took a short video sample to demonstrate this. My PC Information : Windows 10 CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12 Core @3.8GHz GFX - AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (with latest driver installed from https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-6000-series/amd-radeon-6600-series/amd-radeon-rx-6600-xt) RAM - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB DDR4 @3200MHz Thank you

General artifacting when running the application. With no post affects Video 1 With SSAO and FXAA Video 2 GPU: RX580 with latest driver Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Installed RAM: 16.0 GB Windows 10

I tested the Benchmarks and neither my AMD RX6800M or my friend's AMD RX6900 XT would start the Ultra benchmarks.

I have a question regarding ATI GPU with following system specs and would be grateful if someone with the same specs can share info about performance. Toshiba Satellite Windows 8.1 64bit AMD quad core - A6-5200 ~ 2.0 GHz RAM 4 B GPU AMD Radeon HD 8400 I get with average level only around 12-19 Fames/second, which is strange. Also, in comparison to AAA games overall it's all very sluggish.
