Grid Everywhere

This is an idea from the innovative but perhaps flawed map editor "Trenchbroom". The world grid is displayed across all surfaces for easier alignment. This is a shader effect.

Hmm, I would have to try it before saying anything but this reminds me how I used to get a scale reference when I started making Portal maps. I just used the floor and wall textures as a grid because the textures were uniformed.

It would be cool if the vertical grids were only visible up close, looks very noisy when drawn far away.

Is this like a post processing effect or a feature of the regular material shader?

It's build into the PBR shader now.

Does it need to be cut from there for the release build then?

No, it gets activated based on camera settings. It's turned off by default.
